As a Southern California native, afro-cloud.com serves as my personal archive of lessons learned, technical deep-dives, and knowledge gained throughout my life and career.
I wouldn't be where I am today without the amazing mentors and colleagues who helped me along the way. I feel strongly about helping people and believe it's my duty to pay it forward by sharing what I learn.
Where I've Been
My path started in full-stack and frontend performance at Wayfair and Thrive Market, where I built high-conversion e-commerce features and React UI components. From there, I moved into platform architecture at VMware, focusing on UI design systems and platform accessibility.
I spent over 4 years at Google. During my time there, I designed and launched generative AI self-service agents for Google Ads, led cross-team migrations of high-throughput real-time chat services (1000+ QPS), and authored custom static analysis tools for the Google Dart codebase.
Today, I'm at Atlassian, leading technical workstreams in growth engineering and AI activation roadmaps.
