Hi, I'm Claudio (Cloud)

I'm a Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience architecting scalable distributed systems and AI-powered product experiences. I specialize in full-stack system architecture, data-backed experimentation, and technical mentorship.

As a Southern California native, I created afro-cloud.com to serve as my personal archive of lessons learned, technical deep-dives, and personal finance insights gathered throughout my life and career.

I wouldn't be where I am today without the incredible mentors and colleagues who helped me along the way. I feel strongly about lifting others up and believe it's my duty to pay it forward by sharing what I learn.

Where I've Been

After earning my Electrical Engineering degree at USC, I started my career at Beachbody and Wayfair, where I built full-stack consumer web experiences. At Thrive Market, I developed reusable React component libraries and high-converting e-commerce features. I then moved into platform architecture at VMware, where I standardized UI patterns, data-visualization workflows, and platform-wide accessibility. Next, I spent over four years at Google launching generative AI self-service agents for Google Ads, scaling high-throughput chat infrastructure, and authoring static analysis tooling. Today, I'm at Atlassian, where I lead technical workstreams across growth engineering, experimentation, and AI product experiences.
